SEECing Connections: An Event for DMACC/ISU Transfer Advising and Recruitment

The SEEC project team held a joint professional development event to advance the goals of our NSF STEM Student Enrollment & Engagement through Connections grant – a program focused on increasing the number of engineering graduates and the diversity of engineering students.


RESOURCES


Objectives:

Build relationships and connections between institutions and among academic departments and student service units;
Create awareness of engineering as a profession and of ISU’s degree programs;
Provide advising and recruitment resources to use with students, parents, and educators;
Review and discuss transfer student data and “case studies” to better understand the engineering transfer student experiences, culture, pathways, and supporting research;
Identify future action items to fulfill SEEC advising and network [recruitment] objectives.
